it's been a while...

Three months and three days, to be exact. I was writing this mainly for myself and didn't think it matter too much when I wasn't posting...but I've had a few inquiries about the lack of new posts.

So I'm trying again. I've never had a lot of success as sustaining things. I get excited about something, do it for a while, then I get bored...and quit. I have a bunch of journals that have about 19 pages written on and then the rest is blank, I have a crochet project I started a year ago that I have yet to finish, I have books that have been 1/4 read, 1/2 read or mostly read but never finished, I have this blog. And I have a goal of running a marathon.

I've decided that I need to work harder at finishing what I start. I'm going to someday write in a journal to the very last page. I'm going to finish that crochet project (b/c it is a Christmas gift!). I'm going to read each book I start until the end. I am going to write in this blog and I am going to run a marathon....someday! :) I have a verse that I stare at every day at work, it applies here so I will share it with you, my dedicated readers. :) "Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinder ans the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us." Heb. 12:1

Not just a literal race, but the day to day living. Persevering when you just don't want to any more. Not giving up when life gets hard...b/c is gets hard a lot. The past three months I have felt like just giving up. Sometimes, I just don't want to do it anymore. And I had given up on a lot of things. But I came to my senses and realized this is obviously NOT the life that God has in store for me... He wants me to live my life to the fullest...to finish what I start...to not let sin (for me, that's selfishness!) get in the way.

All this is to say, I went to the gym yesterday and ran three miles. Extra special thanks to Jennifer who came with me last night and encouraged me!!

I started to write a comment, but I got tired so I

Just kidding. Books are repetitive after the first 150 pages, so don't worry about tossing those aside early.
